Baptism at Sacramento State

"From one man he made every nation of men, that they shall inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places that they should live.  God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from from each one of us. "  -Acts 17:26-27 NIV

On November 9, 2012, Kierra Weaver, a student at Sacramento State, was baptized into Christ!  She is a young lady who came to one of our Bible Talks during our fall campaign.   From that point on, she came to a whole host of events sponsored by our Campus Ministry and eventually started studying the Bible.  Kris Saldana, the Campus Ministry Leader, as well as Evangelist Keith Davis, were flattered by Kierra's deep insights and eagerness to understand the Truth.  I even shared that Kierra was an answered prayer, since I was praying for a female student at CSUS to be baptized through our ministry (she is the first to make this commitment since October, 2002).

Since the September kick-off, the Campus Ministry has grown tremendously after being dormant for much of the previous school year.  Now there are eight students throughout the four flagship colleges of Sacramento State, Sacramento City, American River, and UC Davis.  Prayerfully, there will be 15 students at the conclusion of the 2012-2013 academic year.  To God be the glory!
